WE ARE CLOSED TODAY – BE ADVISED THERE IS NO AVALANCHE CONTROL. We made it through the warm front and fared as well as we could. For most of the storm the freezing level was around mid-mountain and we picked up over a foot of new snow at the higher elevations. Green Valley filled in with a thick layer of snow and coverage is great. We will open the Mt. Rainier Gondola and Green Valley Express lift on Monday, December 22, from 10am to 3:30pm and tickets will be just $35. We plan to open more lifts and terrain starting Tuesday, and will remain open daily. We’re expecting snow showers over the next few days and will get as much of the mountain open as we can throughout the week. It’s a Christmas miracle! Either that or the pineapples finally got the message. Stay tuned for updates.
The Mountain Shop & Bootworks is open toady (Sunday) from 10:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. for custom boot fitting and all your equipment needs. The start of our Multi-Week Lessons & Youth Freeride with Ingrid Backstrom has been postponed due to low snow coverage. We are planning to begin these programs Jan. 10 & 11, conditions permitting. We want to make sure we can give the best lessons and coaching experience possible.
