Seasonal Lesson Programs provide a comprehensive and immersive experience for you to build a solid foundation, refine your style, and make lasting mountain memories with a like-minded community.
Adult Group Lessons (Ages 13+)
Adult group lessons offer an opportunity for skiers and snowboarders of all skill levels to elevate their mountain experience. These lessons focus on refining technique, building confidence, and exploring new terrain.
Private Lessons (All Ages)
Tailored to your interests and goals, our private ski and snowboard lessons ensure you make the most of your time at Crystal, whether it’s a one-day session or a season-long training. This offers guests the chance to benefit from personalized, one-on-one instruction.
Kids Group Lessons (ages 4 to 12)
Explore our Kids Group Ski and Snowboard Lessons tailored to all ability levels. These lessons foster a love for the mountain while building essential skills. We focus on safety, fun, and small class sizes.

Seasonal Lesson Programs
Q. Are lift tickets and rentals included?
A. No, you will have to purchase lift access and rental equipment for yourself or your child. We recommend purchasing an Ikon Pass as well as season-long rentals.
Q. How many students will be in my or my child’s class?
A. The group sizes vary. They are set up so that the average class size is 4 people for 4 to 6-year-olds and 6 people for 7 to 15-year-olds. Group sizes of these numbers create a fun atmosphere while allowing for individual focus from the instructor.
Q. Will the same group be together for the duration of the program?
A. Yes. We may move students during the first week to ensure that everyone is in the appropriate group.
Q. What do we need to bring for the Ski or Snowboard Lesson Programs?
A. You will need a lift ticket or season pass, and ski or snowboard equipment. Be sure your personal gear is working and the right fit for your student or pick-up rental gear in advance of the lesson. Make sure all gear is being worn upon arrival and you or your child are equipped with the clothing and gear appropriate for the day’s weather and activities.
Q. What is the cancellation policy for Seasonal Lesson Programs?
A. You may cancel a Seasonal Program for a full refund prior to November 1st. We will keep a waitlist for programs that are full. If you need to contact us or have any other questions, you can reach us at ProgramLessons@skicrystal.com.
Q: Are lunches included in Seasonal Lesson Programs?
A: Lunch is included in all youth and child Seasonal Lesson programs. Lunch is not included in the Adult Seasonal Lesson program, or any Freeride Program.
Kids Group Lessons
Q. Are lift tickets and rentals included?
A. Lift tickets and rentals are included with Packages only. All other Kids Group Lessons will need a lift ticket and equipment if a package is not purchased. Lift tickets for kids 4 and under are free. You can buy tickets at any ticket booth, Guest Services, or the Ski & Ride School Sales Desk. Rentals can be purchased in advance, at the Ski & Ride School Sales Desk or at the Rental Shop.
Q. What is the age range?
A. We accept children ages 4 to12-years-old for Kids Group Lessons. Children 13 and older go into Adult Group Lessons.

Q. When and where do we drop off/pick up our kids?
A. All children registered for Group Lessons will need to be checked in, dropped off, and picked up at the Kid’s Learning Center in the Cascade Lodge on level 3 (the level just below the Rental Center). When dropping your child off, you will be given a wristband that you or another adult you have designated will show the Ski & Ride School supervisor upon pick-up. If the wristband is lost or forgotten, you will be required to show picture ID. Late arrivals may not be able to join a lesson in progress or receive a refund.
- Morning/All Day Lesson Check-in/Drop-off: 8:00am-9:30am on weekends & holidays; 8:30am-9:30am on weekdays
- Afternoon Lesson Check-in/Drop-off: 12:00pm-12:30pm
- Morning Lesson Pick-up: 12:00pm
- Afternoon Lesson Pick-up: 3:00pm-4:00pm
Q. What do we need to bring for the lesson?
A. You will need a lift ticket or season pass and gear, unless you purchased a Lesson Package. Be sure personal gear is working and the right fit for your student. Rentals for Kids Group Lessons are fitted in the Learning Center after check-in. Make sure that your child is equipped with the clothing appropriate for the weather.

Adult Group Lessons
Q. Are lift tickets and rentals included?
A. Only Lesson Packages include a lift ticket and rental equipment. The Beginner Lesson Package includes a Discovery Lift ticket for access to the Magic Carpet and Discovery Chair Lift only, and rental equipment. The Experienced Lesson Package includes an All-Mountain Lift ticket and rental equipment. If you did not purchase a lesson package, lift tickets can be purchased online, from the ticket booths, Guest Services, or the Ski & Ride School Sales Desk. If purchased online, print the lift ticket at a ticket kiosk. Rentals can be purchased in advance, at the Ski & Ride School Sales Desk, or Rental Shop.
Q. When & where do we meet for the Adult Group Lesson?
A. Arrive at the lesson meeting area by the Discovery Chair Lift with equipment ready to go by 9:45am for morning and all-day lessons, and by 12:45pm for afternoon lessons. If you need rentals, we recommend arriving at the Rental Shop an hour before the meeting time. Late arrivals may not be able to join a lesson in progress or receive a refund.

Q. What level lesson should I sign up for?
A. If this is your first time or if you have a had a few experiences on the slopes, our Beginner Group Lesson is the perfect choice for individuals looking to build their confidence and control on snow. If you’re ready to explore terrain beyond the Discovery Chair, check out our Experienced Group Lessons.
Private Lessons
