Wildflowers at Crystal
Crystal Mountain can be zoned into two different stages of the alpine- Subalpine and Alpine- ranging 5,000 to 7000 feet in elevation. You’ll notice that flowers and vegetation look a little different at these higher elevations, some heartier than some low elevation flora, as well as others just as delicate and stunning!
Cascade FlowersDid you know that there are well over 1000 plant species and fungi unique to this region of the cascades?

Growth patterns and location of plant communities in this zone are limited by the depth and duration of the snow pack. Subalpine meadows can be found covered in snow well into late June if not later. Wildflowers often bloom more aggressively than flowers found at sea level, in order to take advantage of the shortened growing season.
